For many students their morning routine is essential. The way that they start and begin the first few hours of the morning can usually set the course for the rest of the day. That’s one reason why students at Kennedy Middle School participate in “Morning Motivation”.
Parents, Parents, Parents there will be a District sponsored Common Core workshop coming January 17, 2013, @ Washington High School from 6:00pm-8:00pm.

DearParent/Guardian:
I want to first let you know how delighted I am to serve as the Principal of Kennedy Middle School. Over the past two months we have been working diligently to establish a culture of “excellence” from the classroom to the cafeteria. My assessment of our progress is positive. The students are engaged meaningfully in classroom instruction, they exhibit excellence as they move quietly through our hallways, and they use 5-Star etiquette in our cafeteria. I must say that I am most proud of the teachers and their commitment to excellence and ensuring that they provide our students with a quality learning experience each day. To that end, as you may already know, our students have been engaged in learning the new Common Core Georgia PerformanceStandards (CCGPS) in Mathematics, Reading, and Language Arts. The standards are more rigorous and demanding than before, hence we are expecting more of our students.
I appreciate your support in the education of your child. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at adziengue@atlanta.k12.ga.usor (404) 802-3600
Sincerely,
AndreaDziengue, Interim Principal
